Appointed the inaugural 2025 Texas State Classical Musician, Alecia Lawyer is a Juilliard and SMU-trained oboist, and the founder, and artistic director of ROCO, Houston’s innovative 40-piece professional music ensemble now in its 21st season with musicians and guest artists from around the world. Calling her work “Wildcatting in the Arts,” she champions accessibility, new voices, and the bold integration of technology. Hailed as “The Johnny Appleseed of arts nonprofits” by the Houston Chronicle, Alecia was named one of Musical America’s Top 30 Influencers and one of Houston’s Top 50 Most Influential Women.
Beyond ROCO, she is a passionate speaker and consultant in such wide-ranging fields from the intelligence sector and medical field to technology start ups, AI, and commercial real estate. An F. Lorée artist, she performs internationally and mentors emerging musicians. Together with her husband Larry she explores the open road on their weekend Harley rides and enjoys traveling with their two fantastic sons.

Jalene Mack, Esq. is an entertainment attorney, producer, writer, and actress with 30+ years of experience supporting film, television, and creative entrepreneurs. Through her legal practice and work as a producer, she helps projects move from development through distribution with clarity and purpose. She’s also the founder of Mack Performing Arts Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to arts education and meaningful community impact.

He oversees production and post with 30+ years inHouston’s media industry. An editor at heart, Alex supports projects end-to-end, stepping in during planning, production, and post to keep the work on track through delivery.
