Hapie Awards

The HAPIE awards goal is to showcase Houston's robust production community to shift the perception that Houston lacks the resources to support large productions.  

We keep the submission cost affordable compared to other competitions  to encourage participation.  Nominees and winners will be posted on our website as a resource guide.

The Houston Association of Producers Industry Excellence Awards or HAPIE awards is a competition that showcases the diverse pool of production talent in the Greater Houston Area. The awards recognize craft specific categories showcasing top talent in their perspective area. The award gala event unifies our community, celebrates each other’s work and shows the depth of Houston's production resources.

Submission fees are $20 per category and you can enter as many categories as appropriate.  Unlike other competitions that cost hundreds to enter, we keep our submission fees to a minimum to encourage participation.  Our goal is to have accurate representation of Houston's best.  Nominees and winners will be featured on the website as Houston's top of their craft.

The HAPIE Awards are determined by peer voting, where members and collaborators of the HAP organization vote on submission reels. The process includes: 

• Entry: Eligible individuals  submit entries in the appropriate category.  No membership required.
•  Eligibility: Entries are reviewed to determine if they meet eligibility requirements and are placed in the appropriate category. 
• Voting: Voting members participate in two rounds of voting: 
  • First round: Voting HAP members and partners select four finalists for each award.
  • Final round: Voting HAP members and partners select the winners.
