The Houston Association of Producers (HAP) is proud to announce that the Industry Excellence Awards (HAPIE Awards) has been officially recognized by the Harris County Precinct 4.
At the 2025 ceremony, held Wednesday, August 20 at 6 p.m. at the Houston Improv, Alice Lee, Chief of Staff for Commissioner Lesley Briones, presented a formal resolution recognizing the event and its role in uplifting the city’s creative economy.
Lights, cameras, celebration! The Houston Association of Producers (HAP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional organization championing Houston’s production industry, proudly announces the first inaugural HAPIE Awards—an evening honoring the best and brightest in Houston’s production community.
Proceeds from the event will fund HAP’s mentorship program, providing aspiring crew members with the training and on-set experience needed for sustainable careers, while leveraging new Texas SB-22 incentives to prepare professionals, advocate for the community, and guide stakeholders eager to join Houston’s vibrant film industry.
Each year the HAPIE awards recognizes an individual for their significant contribution to the Houston production economy and wellbeing.
This is a non-competitive award curated through the HAP board and event committees.
